In the future we hope to see this site become a great asset for those looking to visit Somerset; to aid with the county's tourism using the photographs we've taken whilst living here. You'll find links to many sites and more will be added along the way.
Somerset has so much to see and do from the rolling hills to the levels to the unspoilt sand dunes and long sandy beaches of Brean and Berrow, Steart and the amazing rocky beaches around Kilve (where prehistoric fossils can be found if you're lucky!).
If it's history you're after, then you're spoilt rotten. Legends of Merlin and King Arthur at Glastonbury to King Alfred the Great, Medieval Castles in Taunton and the ever impressive Dunster to the ruins of Farleigh Hungerford Castle and Nunney Castle are just the tip of the iceberg. Then there's Bath, a World Heritage Site since 1987, a separate entry entirely! Somerset is also the site of the last pitched battle on English soil at Westonzoyland - The Battle of Sedgemoor.
Somerset and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty go hand in hand. There is so much beautiful landscape and scenery in Somerset - from the marshlands and Somerset Levels , multiple hill ranges of The Quantocks, Mendips, Blackdowns, Poldens and Brendans to Exmoor with the stunning Lorna Doone Valley , Valley of the Rocks , Tarr Steps and idyllic villages such as Porlock, Lynton & Lynmouth . We've taken photographs in so many of these places and this site is an opportunity to compile them all in one place....eventually.
